In honor of A.J. Thelen recently being named a major bust as Minnesota Wild draft pick I give you our ECHL All-Star defenseman scoring one of his eight goals this year (updated stats here).
He may be a bust for the Wild, and he may not have impressed any one in Rochester, but I'm pretty sure most Everblades fans would hate to see him go.
I also think it's funny that his usual defensive partner, Brad Zanon, is the younger brother of Minnesota Wild defenseman Greg Zanon. Also, Thelen was selected before Anton Khudobin, our goalie last season, in the draft. I guess the hockey world is a small world.
