I still can't believe the Blades season is over guys. While you're waiting for October, why not check out this fresh batch of links?
- I grabbed a few pictures at the fan party:
- In an awesome move (on either the league or teams part, I'm not sure who), the players will get to spend a day with the Kelly Cup over the summer. This is either going to be a wonderful experience for the player or end in the Blades having to pay for extensive repairs. Or both. Probably both.
- Which reminds me, your Wikipedia hockey page for today- "Kelly Cup"
- The ECHL released the 12-13 schedule and I'm rather uninspired by it. It really is going to be boring home game-wise, but I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to making Solar Bears fans hate us. They're going to have nightmares about cowbells by the halfway mark of the season.
- I don't know if i ever mentioned this, but I won a hockey stick coat rack (that's taller than me) from the fan club raffle early in the season. I'm pretty sure I need this to compliment it. I might even go with a whole "hockey sticks turned into furniture" theme for my bedroom. That's not crazy... right?
- No ebay link because the prices (and some of the things posted) right now are ridiculous. I will say, there is a perfectly reasonable season ticket holder jersey up there though.
- A programming note: I've decided to take a little blogging break for two or three weeks. Let's just call it my own personal off season. Obviously, if the Blades make a signing announcement (which is incredibly unlikely if the last three season are anything to go by) I'll come back, but for now, I'm resting my overworked blogging muscles.
