Blades/Gladiators Re-Cap

Less than 24 hours after finishing off their two game series with the Stingrays the Blades arrived in Gwinnett to take on the Gladiators.

The Glads goal in the first 48 seconds and it looked like it was going to be one of those games. The game sheet is here. There were plenty of moments that gave me hope. Kevin Bakers first tally for Florida allowed them to even it up. As did She Guthries second goal. Unfortunately, from that point on the Gladiators pretty much took over the game. Kevin Baker did notch a second goal to narrow the Gladiators lead to one in the closing minutes of the second period, but it just wasn't enough. The Gladiators held the Blades off, and even managed to net two goals to ensure their victory.

Here is a very interesting facts for you...

- This is the third game in a row that saw one of the Blades players net two. Friday was Carlson, Saturday was Roy, and today was Baker.

The Blades have a few days off before they begin their series against the Kalamazoo Wings on Wednesday. Let's hope they can rest up after playing three games straight and be ready to tae on the K-Wings.
