(Trying something new, let me know what you guys think)
In my daily roving of the Internet I often come across interesting stories. I also have great friends who are more than happy to help me get my hockey fix. Usually, I read these stories and move on. But, some of these stories are too good to not share.
Because this is a blog about the Everblades I'd be remiss if I didn't include at least on Blades related story. Woody over at the NDN Blades Blog wrote up this great story on A.J. Thelen. It's nice to see he's finally getting noticed. I for one can't wait to drive over to the East coast to hold up the biggest sign they will allow in the Bank Atlantic Center for his debut NHL game.
Also, if you haven't heard the first Everblades podcast, hosted by Woody, you have to check it out.
You may have seen the "Marry Me Sidney" Chick, you can find out about her here. There was some anger from some parts of the hockey world, including this blogger, who's a bit anti-bunny. But, a cooler head (in the form of my favorite Texan, Ms. Conduct) added a very interesting argument that made me re-think my position a lot.
Finally, if you think hockey players are more talented athletically than intellectually, you have to head over to this blog. It was written by one of my favorite players in the Penguins organization, Ben Lovejoy. It hasn't been updated for quite a long time, but digging through the archives is worth it. (Big thanks to Ms. Conduct for that link, I lost a huge chunk of my day but it was worth it)
